Abstract : French imports of tropical and subtropical fruits increased slightly in 1989 because of increases in avocado pear, mango and pawpaw shipments. Results of the 1988/89 citrus season were down a little. Only the tonnages of lemons, limes and clementines increased. This paper examines the following fruits; banana, pineapple, avocado, mango, mangosteen, guava, pawpaw, litchi, and citrus fruits; orange, monreal and satsuma, mandarin and wiking, clementine, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon and lime. The study is completed by import tables, graphs and Rungis wholesale market prices for 1989.
