Abstract : In field studies in Egypt on the control of Aceria mangiferae Sayed on mango, the most effective acaricides evaluated consisted of sprays of mixtures of Triona oil emulsion with either phosalone (Zolone) or formothion (Anthio); such treatments reduced the number of stunted buds and malformed inflorescences and increased the fruit yield. In addition, pruning stunted buds and malformed inflorescences in winter resulted in large reductions in mite population during subsequent blooming.
