Abstract : A review is given by the various authors of the major insect, mite and nematode pests recorded in South Africa on avocado, banana, coffee, granadilla [Passiflora edulis], litchi [Litchi chinensis], mango, papaya and pineapple. Most of the pests are fully described and illustrated, and notes are given on biology, damage and cultural control methods.
