Abstract : Dashehari mango trees were propagated by 5 different methods in 1977, planted (3 × 10 replicates) in 1978, and the growth and crop of the trees assessed from 1978 to 1984. In general, stone grafting and stooling gave larger trees with higher fruit yield than air layering, veneer grafting and inarching. The number and time of production of primary branches varied with the method of propagation. Air-layered trees gave the largest fruit in 1984.
