Abstract : Himsagar and Langra grafted onto themselves, Burdwan Seedling no. 3, Mangifera sylvatica, M. indica (West Tripura) and Olour, were planted out in 1962 in randomized blocks with 2-4 replicates. Height, girth of scion and rootstock, canopy spread and volume, and fruit number were recorded yearly. The polyembryonic stock Olour gave smaller trees and a higher and more regular fruit crop per unit canopy volume than the other stocks.
