Abstract : Oidium mangiferae is widespread in Africa, Asia and America, and occurs in Australia. Symptoms on inflorescences, leaves and fruits are described. Conidia germinate best at 20-25 deg C and at moderately high RH, but disease development seems favoured by high RH. Mango vars. show great differences in susceptibility. S dusts and sprays give very effective control in southern Israel.s.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:Of ten varieties assessed in Israel, Carrie and Gondo were most resistant to Oidium mangiferae.
