Abstract : Progress in the cultivation of late season mangoes at high latitudes and high altitudes is reviewed. The subjects covered include: effect of date and depth of sowing on mango seed germination; optimum stooling conditions; methods of propagation (simple inarching and veneer grafting are better than Forkert budding and modified inarching); time of top-working of semi-wild mango trees; in situ veneer grafting of seedlings raised in pits filled with top-soil and farmyard manure.
