Abstract : ?-Naphthoxyacetic acid (NOA) and GA3 each at 50, 100 or 150 p.p.m. were sprayed twice at 15-day intervals during Feb. and Mar. 1978 and 1979 on mango cv. Langra trees. Distilled water was applied to the control trees and leaf samples were collected once every 2 months for chemical analysis. Since 1978 was the on year for bearing the growth regulators had little effect on flowering. However, in 1979 (off year), percentage flowering was affected and NOA increased flowering more than GA3. For both growth regulators percentage flowering increased with increasing application rate. The percentage flowering on control trees was only 2.70%. Foliar application of NOA and GA3 also increased the leaf concentration of N, P, K, Ca and Mg significantly.
