Abstract : Eleven food plants of which 7 were introduced and 4 native to São Paulo, Brazil, of Anastrepha were identified. Seven species of Anastrepha were identified. A. obliqua was found on 8 different food plants, A. sororcula on 7, A. fraterculus on 2, A. bistrigata, A. manihoti, A. pseudoparallela and A. zenildae on 1, and Ceratitis capitata on 2. All the food plants studied were infested by Anastrepha, including the introduced species, which were more susceptible to C. capitata. The highest levels of infestation were recorded in Spondias lutea [S. mombin] and S. purpurea, and the lowest in mangoes, guavas, Eugenia uvalha and Citrus.
