Preliminary survey of polyembryony in mango varieties in Sri Lanka.

Abstract : Of 13 varieties, Willard MI, Wallamba MI, Pandithasekera, Ambalavi and Chembatan were 100% monoembryonic while Peterpassand 2 and Parrot were 97 and 94% polyembryonic respectively. The remaining varieties had varying percentages of seed germinating to give two to eight seedlings.
