Mango wilt. XII. Recommendations for control.

Abstract : Aerial and root wilts of mango caused by Ceratocystis fimbriata are restricted to Brazil. Disease epidemiology, the role of the vector Hypocryphalus mangiferae in the transmission of infection, disease symptoms and distribution of the disease within Brazil are discussed. Control measures include cutting and burning of the infected plant parts for aerial infection and the use of resistant rootstocks, such as cultivars Carabao and Manga D'agua, for root infection.
