Abstract : Experiments were conducted to study the effect of handling and storage temp. on mango firmness. Mango firmness was adversely affected by high ambient temp. Fruits treated at 40°C showed abnormal ripening. A regression equation was developed correlating d after harvest, storage temp. and handling temp. with mango firmness. The application and limitation of the model are discussed.
