Abstract : Practical advice, aimed at small scale production for domestic consumption or local markets, is provided on fruit cultivation in tropical conditions. The crops covered are avocados, citrus fruits, mangoes, pineapples, bananas and pawpaws. There are chapters on the pre-requisites for fruit growing, the specific characteristics and environmental requirements of the crops, planting material, crop planting and management, fertilizers, pests and diseases, and harvesting, yield and transport.
