Insecticidal control of mango planthopper Colgaroides acuminata (Walker) - (Hemiptera: Flatidae) in north Queensland.

Abstract : In field trials conducted in mango orchards in Queensland, esfenvalerate (applied at 0.013 g a.i./litre), diazinon (0.7 g a.i./litre) and endosulfan (0.7 g a.i./litre) were significantly more effective in controlling the flatid Colgaroides acuminata than the presently recommended insecticide carbaryl (0.72 g a.i./litre). Esfenvalerate also gave better control than chlorpyrifos (1.0 g a.i./litre).
