Parasitoids of the mango shoot caterpillar Penicillaria jacosatrix Guenee (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) in southern India.

Abstract : Field studies were conducted in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, India, to study the incidence of Penicillaria jocosatrix on mangoes and its associated natural enemies. Biological studies on P. jocosatrix and 2 of its parasitoids, the braconid Aleiodes circumscriptus and the eulophid Euplectrus sp. nr. parvulus, are described. Other parasitoid species identified included E. leucostomus, Blepharella lateralis and Peribaea sp.
