Observations on Aneristus ceroplastae Howard (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) a parasitoid of mango scale, Chloropulvinaria polygonata (Homoptera: Coccidae).

Abstract : Aneristus ceroplastae [Coccophagus ceroplastae] was found parasitizing Chloropulvinaria polygonata on mangoes in Bihar, India. The behaviour and biology of the parasitoid are described, together with rates of parasitism in the different instars and sexes of the host. Parasitism was highest (54.7%) in 3rd-instar females.
