Abstract : The isoenzyme systems isocitrate dehydrogenase, phosphoglucomutase and phosphoglucose isomerase [glucose-6-phosphate isomerase] were used to examine the occurrence of nucellar seedlings (which give rise to true to type progeny) in 5 mango cultivars. A high percentage of Sabre, Peach, Kensington and Julie seedlings were true to type, while Florigon had a high percentage of off-type seedlings and was not suited as a commercial rootstock.
