Sooty mould disease of mango and its control.

Abstract : The symptoms, development and control of sooty mould (caused by Microxyphium columnatum, Leptoxyphium fumago and Tripospermum myrti) were studied in naturally infected orchards in Bulandsahar district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The best control was observed with a spray of Wettasul [sulfur] + Metacid [parathion-methyl] + gum acacia.
