Abstract : Of 12 isolates of anthracnose fungi from bananas, mangoes, papayas [pawpaws], wax jambu (Eugenia javanica) and avocados, 4 from bananas, pawpaws and avocados were identified as strains of Glomerella cingulata. Two isolates with specific pathogenicity to bananas were identified as Colletotrichum musae, and 2 isolates with specific pathogenicity to mangoes as C. mangiferae. Other isolates were polyphagous and weakly pathogenic.
