Newer evidence to demonstrate mycovirus of Fusarium moniliforme var. glutinans as causal agent of mango shoot malformation.

Abstract : Mango seedlings were inoculated with F. moniliforme [Gibberella fujikuroi] var. subglutinans isolate 19A (infected by virus-like particles (VLP)) or 7B (VLP-free) in pot trials. Symptoms appeared 8 months after inoculation. Malformations developed on plants inoculated with isolate 19A but not on plants inoculated with isolate 7B.
