Abstract : The results are presented of an extensive survey of the incidence of this disease in 5 cultivars growing at 4 different heights above sea level and of differing age groups. The cv. Dashehari showed the highest incidence of floral malformation, followed by Malda, Chausa and Langra; in seedling mangoes it was very low. Incidence was highest in trees 10-year-old, and decreased with increasing age irrespective of cultivar. There was a negative correlation between incidence of floral malformation, and increase in elevation.
