Abstract : Acid phosphatase activity was monitored diurnally in mango cv. Alphonso buds at different stages of differentiation. Enzyme activity peaked at 08.00 and 20.00 h. It was lower in scar buds than in buds. This difference was greater before than during fruit bud differentiation.
