Fertilizer trials on mangoes (Mangifera indica L.) var. Nam Dok Mai in Thailand.

Abstract : In trials in an orchard on a sandy loam soil, N (0.5, 1.0 or 1.5 kg/tree), P2O5 (0.2 or 0.4 kg/tree) and K2O (1.0 or 1.5 kg/tree) were applied in factorial combinations to 4-year-old mango cv. Nam Dok Mai trees during 1985-86. The largest increase in trunk circumference (13.09%) was obtained with 1.0 kg N, 0.4 kg P + 1.0 kg K/tree. The highest total yield was obtained with 0.5 kg N + 0.4 kg P + 1.5 kg K/tree in both years. Fruit acidity varied between fertilizer treatments for each year but TSS content was highest with 1.0 kg N + 0.2 kg P + 1.5 kg K/tree for both years.
