Record of four mites associated with decaying or rotting agricultural crops in Tamil Nadu.

Abstract : The following species were found on rotting crops in Tamil Nadu, India: Histiostoma humidiatus on sorghum, Rhizoglyphus echinopus on onions, garlic, chillies [Capsicum], turmeric and potatoes, R. singularis on yams and Tyrophagus longior on tomatoes, mangoes and coconuts. This is the first record of H. humidiatus in India and of R. singularis in Tamil Nadu.
