Abstract : Laelaspis badrii sp. nov. is described from specimens collected from soil in the rhizospheres of mangoes in Behera Governorate, Egypt, in 1987. Cosmolaelaps paravacua sp. nov. is described from specimens collected from soil in the rhizospheres of maize in Beni-Suef Governorate, Egypt, in 1987. Keys to the Egyptian species of the genera Laelaspis and Cosmolaelaps [Hypoaspis] are provided.
