Abstract : Semi-ripe mangoes were surface sterilized, inoculated with Diplodia natalensis [Botryodiplodia theobromae], Aspergillus niger, Rhizopus arrhizus and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata], incubated for 12 h at 30±2°C then wrapped in 0.002 cm plastic film and incubated at 30±2°C and 75-90% RH. Rot severity was significantly reduced 5 and 8 d after inoculation as a result of wrapping fruits in plastic film.
