Abstract : Good control of anthracnose, caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata], and soft brown rot, caused by Hendersonia creberrima, was obtained with a 30 s immersion in a combination of imazalil and prochloraz (2500 mg/litre and 2000 mg/litre respectively) at ambient temp., preceded by a 3 min dip in hot water (53°C). Benomyl also controlled soft brown rot but TBZ (thiabendazole) was inactive.
