Abstract : Mild irradiation (0.75 kGy) in combination with hot water treatment gave excellent control of both anthracnose [Glomerella cingulata] and soft brown rot [Hendersonia creberrima] of mangoes cultivars Sensation and Kent but was found to be phytotoxic causing lenticel damage. Modified atmosphere packaging was found to be bulky, unsuitable for export and did not control soft brown rot.
