Abstract : The main areas of CIRAD research in 1991 in Reunion were studies of citrus bacterial canker caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. citri and bacterial black spot of mangoes caused by X. c. pv. mangiferaeindicae. Studies of these diseases, including biochemical identification of X. c. pv. citri strains, and biology, epidemiology and control X. c. pv. citri, are outlined.
