Extraction of some soil nutrients by one crop of mango cultivar 'Delicioso'.

Abstract : Ripe mango fruits harvested during May/June with average yields of 47.4 kg/plant (3.29 t/ha) were analysed for mineral content. Peel, pulp and seeds contained 0.89, 1.13 and 1.58 % N, 0.108, 0.147 and 0.390 % P and 1.28, 0.90 and 1.24 % K, respectively. It was estimated that 1 t of fruits extracted 11.8, 2.1 and 11.2 kg N, P2O5 and K2O, respectively, from the soil.
