Abstract : The efficacy of sweet flag [Acorus calamus], ginger, jamun [Syzygium cumini], neem and mango powders, neem cake, and sesame, sunflower, groundnut and palm oils, and ordinary ash was evaluated against Callosobruchus chinensis on pigeon peas. A. calamus was the most effective followed by neem kernel powder, while neem cake and ash were the least effective. This paper was presented at a National Symposium held on 21-22 January 1990 in Rajahmundry, India.
