Proceedings of workshop: spacing trends in tree fruit crops.

Abstract : An introduction and 6 papers are presented from a workshop held at the 3rd annual congress of the Southern African Society for Horticultural Sciences at Wild Coast Sun, Transkei, South Africa, in January 1993. The topics covered include light interception in orchards, spacing trends of free-standing central leader deciduous fruit trees, and spacing trends in Citrus, Litchi, Macadamia, avocados and mangoes. Aspects discussed include management techniques, control of tree size and economics, with particular reference to southern Africa.
