Abstract : Insects visiting mango flowers on a farm in the Letsitele Valley were sampled at hourly intervals over a 3-day period. A total of 1323 insect visits were recorded. Honey bees were excluded from the survey, but they frequently visited flowers throughout the day. The most abundant bees were Braunsapis bouyssoui and B. facialis (17%). Blow flies were the most frequent visitors, with Rhyncomya forcipata Villeneuve (30%) the most common. House flies (Musca domestica) were also observed on flowers.
