Histochemical localisation of some thio compounds in plants.

Abstract : The method described, which uses the reagent 2,3-dichloro-1, 4-naphthoquinone to induce a pink staining in plant extracts in the presence of ammonia, was tested successfully with Brassica nigra seed, cabbage, cauliflower, onion, garlic and unripe mango fruit.
