Abstract : The role of host-plant resistance in the control of insect pests of fruit crops in India is considered. Resistance to insect pests of almond, apple, banana, ber [Ziziphus mauritiana], Citrus, date palm, grape, guava, mango, peach, plum and sapota [Manilkara zapota] is discussed briefly.
