Abstract : The stem bark of M. indica is used to treat haemoptysis, nasal catarrh, haemorrhages, malaena, diarrhoea, dipteria, rheumatism and lumbrici. Two new compounds, named manghopanal and mangoleanone, were isolated from the stem bark (collected from New Delhi). Their structures were elucidated from spectral and chemical analyses.
