Abstract : Semi-hardwood cuttings were taken from young seedlings of mango cultivars Turpentine, Gomera, Sabre and 13-1 and rooted under intermittent mist with bottom heat temperatures of 20, 25, 30 and 35°C. The highest percentage rooting was obtained with 25-30° bottom heat. At 20° rooting was slow but eventually reached a high percentage with all cultivars except 13-1. At 35° rooting was poor with all cultivars except Turpentine. At the optimum temperature, the rooting of the cultivars was in the order of Turpentine > Gomera > Sabre\more than\13-1. There was, however, little difference between root development of established, 2-year-old container-grown plants (of the same cultivars) at the different bottom-heat temperatures.
