Abstract : This booklet contains the official text of the international quality standard for mangoes with comments on interpretation of the standard. The text is arranged in the following sections: (I) Definition of produce, (II) Provisions concerning quality (minimum requirements, classification), (III) Provisions concerning sizing, (IV) Provisions concerning tolerances (quality tolerances, size tolerances), (V) Provisions concerning presentation (uniformity, packaging), and (VI) Provisions concerning marking (identification, nature of produce, origin of the produce, commercial specifications, official control mark). Each section is illustrated with colour plates, with descriptions of the limits allowed for various conditions. A comparative summary table of the requirements laid down by the standard is provided.
