Abstract : This special edition of the journal comprises 21 papers and advisory articles on the effects of drought and strategies for its limitation in citrus, bananas, litchis, avocados, guavas and mangoes. Crop management techniques (including pest and disease control), irrigation, mulching, cover crops, antidesiccants and soil conservation are considered, with particular reference to research at the Institute of Tropical and Subtropical Crops.
