Status of intercropping of orchards in the Punjab.

Abstract : Information was collected from growers on the effects of intercropping in Kinnow mandarin, mango, pear, peach, plum, Litchi and guava orchards and vineyards. Wheat, cotton, vegetables, fodder crops, potatoes, pulses, oilseed crops, rice and green manure crops were grown as intercrops. Intercrop species and duration are suggested for several fruit crops.
