Abstract : The development of a mango growth model is described. The initial work was based on cv. Sensation trees of different ages at Nelspruit. The relative importance of the different plant parts and organs are put in perspective by quantifying all possible information. The applications of the model include studies of the effects of cultivars, rootstock, climate, soil types, cultural methods and other parameters.
