Abstract : Mango cuttings, cv. Dashehari, and guava cuttings, cv. Allahabad Safeda, were dipped in 5000 p.p.m. IBA and planted in a sphagnum moss-sand mixture. The temperature in the rooting zone was 300 plus or minus 2 deg C, and high humidity was maintained around the cuttings. After a month 97% of the mango and 87% of the guava cuttings had rooted, compared with 15% and 17%, respectively, without bottom heat.
