Abstract : During October 1992, infestation of mangoes by Rastrococcus iceryoides was reported to cause severe damage to mango trees in the northern part of Malawi, on the border with Tanzania. A survey carried out in January 1993 indicated that infestation by the pseudococcid had extended up to 18 km into Malawi from the Songwe River border.
