Trap for monitoring and control of the fruit flies Anastrepha spp. and Ceratitis capitata (Wied.).

Abstract : A number of traps and baits were tested for capturing Anastrepha spp. and Ceratitis capitata in Citrus, Averrhoa carambola, Myrciaria cauliflora, Spondias purpurea, mango and guava orchards in Goiania, Brazil, during 1988-89. The most effective trap was a colourless plastic flask with 18 circular holes of 1 cm diameter, with orange juice as an attractant.
