Abstract : The distribution of the tephritid Bactrocera caryeae is mapped. The pest attacks Citrus, guavas, mangoes and probably a wider range of fleshy fruits and vegetables in India (Karnataka and Tamil Nadu) and Sri Lanka and has been intercepted in Oman.
