Abstract : There are no insecticides registered for controlling the coreid Anoplocnemis curvipes on mangoes in South Africa, and hand collecting is the only option. Methods for undertaking this on young trees are described. Because the adults can fly they must be killed. Hand collecting must be done on a regular basis because of invasion of young mango orchards from outside, and the most important time for controlling the coreid is during spring and summer, especially during flushing periods.
