Evaluation of physico-chemical traits in different varieties of mango (Mangifera indica L.).

Abstract : Some 20 mango varieties were evaluated for physical and chemical characters of the fruit in trials conducted at Rewa in 1991-92. Baneshan, Bangalora, Fazli, Sunderja and Mallika had high fruit weight coupled with high fruit length and width. Fruits of Sunderja gave the highest estimates of non-reducing sugars and total sugars with average and below-average estimates of total soluble solids and acidity, respectively.
