Isoenzyme description of mango genotypes.

Abstract : Some 88 mango (Mangifera indica) cultivars were characterized electrophoretically on the basis of isocitrate dehydrogenase, cytosol aminopeptidase, glucose-6-phosphate isomerase, phosphoglucomutase and triose-phosphate isomerase. The outcross origin of some cultivars was supported by the zymograms. The reported parentage of some other cultivars did not accord with their banding patterns. A previously unreported variant of glucose-6-phosphate isomerase is described.
