Analysing India's horticultural exports - status and export strategies.

Abstract : The paper analyses the status of India's horticultural exports and draws some conclusions for horticultural export development. Compound growth rates of horticultural export volumes and value are calculated using data for the period 1976/77-1990/91. Export earnings from processed fruits and vegetables increased over the period. Growth analysis by crop shows that grapes, bananas, mangoes and apples occupied an important place in increased export earnings.
