Evaluation of various fungicides against powdery mildew (Oidium mangiferae) in mango.

Abstract : In field trials during 1990-91 on bearing plants of the cv. Samar Bahisht, 3 sprays of Topas [penconazole] (at pre-bloom, full bloom and after fruit setting) gave the best control of Oidium mangiferae (89.67% reduction in disease), followed by Afugan [pyrazophos] (85.5% reduction). In further trials in 1992, Topsin-M [thiophanate-methyl] was almost as effective as penconazole.
